SausEvents Inc., d/b/a Mountain Wubz ("we," "us," "our," or "the Company"), the operator of the Mountain Wubz Music Festival ("the Event") and mountainwubz.com ("the Website"), values Your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and Your rights.

By purchasing a ticket or using the Website, You consent to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You provide directly:

Name (first and last)
Email address
Phone number
Billing address (collected by our payment processor)
Ticket purchase details (tier, quantity, promoter code, promo code)
Communications You send us (support requests, applications, contact-form submissions)

Information collected automatically:

IP address and approximate location
Browser type, operating system, device identifiers
Pages viewed and time spent on the Website
Referring URL

Information collected at the Event:

Check-in timestamps (when Your QR is scanned at the gate)
Photographs, videos, and audio recordings of You, including Your name, image, voice, and likeness, for use as described in Section 5 below
Incident reports, security logs, and medical-treatment records if applicable

2. How We Use Your Information

Fulfill and deliver ticket purchases
Send transactional communications (order confirmations, updates about Your order, check-in instructions)
Send marketing communications if You have opted in — limited to lineup announcements, presale notifications, schedule changes, weather advisories, and Mountain Wubz merchandise. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via a link in any marketing email or by emailing info@mountainwubz.com.
Operate, maintain, and improve the Event and the Website
Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms and Conditions
Comply with legal obligations
Respond to inquiries and support requests

3. How We Share Your Information

We do NOT sell Your personal information. We will never sell or share Your email address with third parties for their own marketing. We share Your information only with:

Payment processors (presently Stripe, Inc.) to process Your purchase
Email service providers (presently Resend, Inc.) to deliver transactional and marketing messages
Ticketing and check-in staff at the Event
Medical and emergency responders in the event of an on-site emergency
Law enforcement or government authorities when required by law, subpoena, or court order
Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale
Professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, auditors) bound by confidentiality

We do NOT share Your information with sponsors, partner brands, or performing artists. Your data is used by Mountain Wubz only.

4. Data Retention

Transaction records (orders, tickets, payment metadata): retained for seven (7) years for tax, accounting, and audit purposes, or longer if required by law
Marketing subscribers: retained until You unsubscribe, then purged within a reasonable period
Check-in and incident data: retained for two (2) years following the Event
Support communications: retained for three (3) years
Website analytics: retained per the analytics provider's default policy (see Section 6)

5. Photography, Video, and Audio Recording

Mountain Wubz is filmed and photographed extensively for promotional, archival, editorial, and commercial use. By entering the Event premises, You grant the Company and its licensees a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable license to use Your name, image, likeness, voice, and recorded performances on social media, in marketing materials, on the Website, in broadcasts and streams, and in any other medium now known or later invented, without compensation or further consent.

This license includes:

Social media posts and advertising across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X/Twitter, and others
Recap videos and aftermovies
Future-year promotional materials
Broadcast and streaming arrangements with third-party partners
Third-party coverage (press, influencers) we have authorized

Because attendance is restricted to persons eighteen (18) years of age and older, no parental-consent carveout is required.

If You appear in festival-generated content and wish to request removal of a specific photograph or video, email info@mountainwubz.com with a description of the content and date of capture. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to honor removal requests but cannot guarantee removal from third-party redistribution.

Attendee-generated content. When You tag the Event, tag @mountain_wubz, or use our official hashtags #MountainWubz2026 or #MW2026 on social media, we may reshare Your content on our official channels with attribution. Opt-out is available on written request to info@mountainwubz.com.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The Website uses essential cookies for session management (admin login) and to remember basic preferences. You can disable cookies in Your browser, but some features of the Website may not function.

We use Plausible Analytics (plausible.io), a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. Plausible measures aggregate page views, referrers, and approximate visitor counts only. Plausible is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by default. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other cookie-based tracker.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where You live, You may have rights under state or federal law to:

Access the personal information we hold about You
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of Your information, subject to our legitimate business and legal retention needs
Opt out of marketing communications at any time
Request a portable copy of Your information

To exercise any of these rights, email info@mountainwubz.com with Your request. We may need to verify Your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We will respond within thirty (30) days or as required by applicable law.

Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights. We honor valid requests from residents of all US states and territories to the extent required by their respective laws.

8. Children's Privacy

The Event is for attendees eighteen (18) and older. The Website is not directed at children under thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If we learn we have collected information from a child under thirteen, we will delete it promptly. If You believe a child under thirteen has provided personal information, contact info@mountainwubz.com.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and vendor security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of Your information. In the event of a breach that materially affects Your personal information, we will notify You as required by applicable law.

10. Third-Party Links

The Website may link to third-party sites (sponsors, artists, media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites. Read their privacy policies before providing information.

11. International Users

The Website is operated from the United States. If You access it from outside the US, You consent to the transfer and processing of Your information in the US, which may have different data-protection laws than Your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at https://mountainwubz.com/privacy-policy with the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email to marketing subscribers and highlighted on the Website.
